Erma Lee, CHC, President

Erma Lee is the President of the North Texas Healthcare Compliance Association (NTHCPA). She is responsible for the day to day operations and program. Erma is the Compliance Officer for JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. JPS Health Network serve the needs of the families in Tarrant County.

Erma is certified in Healthcare Compliance and is a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association, American Healthcare Lawyers Association, Privacy Officers Association and the National Association for Health Services Executives.

Jose Tabuena, JD, CFE, CHC, Vice President

Jose serves as the Vice President and is responsible for coordinating education, marketing and networking activities. José is Vice President, Integrity and Compliance with MedicalEdge Healthcare Group, Inc., Group, based in Dallas, Texas. He was with the Center for Corporate Governance at Deloitte LLP, and formerly served as in-house and external counsel specializing in health care compliance and regulatory matters.

José has published numerous articles and lectures on the subject of fraud, governance, and corporate compliance. He serves on the Advisory Board of Compliance and Ethics Magazine for the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), and on the Compliance Today Editorial Board for the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).

Liz Madzik, CHC, Executive Director/Secretary

Liz serves as the Executive Director/Secretary and is responsible for website and membership updates, acknowledgement communications to speakers, hosts and coordinating leadership meetings. Liz is the Compliance and Privacy Officer for Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, a community-based, not-for-profit hospital which is a part of Texas Health Resources. She is responsible for overseeing and administration of the privacy and compliance programs as well as the monitoring and auditing activities.

Liz also conducts privacy, compliance and identity theft investigations. She serves as an internal resource by providing guidance on healthcare related rules, regulations and statutes to leadership and staff.

Liz is certified in Healthcare Compliance and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, the American Ex-Prisoners of War and the National Association of Women Writers.
